Heyford Mill History & Challenges
Heyford Mill is on the outskirts of Northampton and had references in the dooms day book. It was last occupied some 70 years ago and over the years has suffered from vandalism and arson.
9M Construction bought the Mill in 2004 and embarked on a major renovation project. As expected, we had many challenges, water being the main one!
With a close working relationship with Blackwell Consultant Engineers, the Environment Agency and Peter Brett flood risk consultants. 9M Construction managed to create a forever home for the owners.

Anchoring the transition between dining and sitting areas is a bespoke, dual-aspect handmade stone fireplace — open on both sides, allowing warmth and atmosphere to carry through while preserving a sense of openness and connection between the rooms.
